Welcome to my website about specialty bulbs. I have been interested in plants from a young age. Through succulents I got to know bulbous plants from southern Africa, such as lachenalias, ornithogalums and massonias. Thirty years ago the succulents made way for bulbs from all over the world. In the past decades I have grown all kinds of plants under different conditions, I have done experiments and I have made botanical trips to countries including Austria, Spain, Crete, Turkey, the United States, Canada, Namibia and South Africa. In these countries I have seen bulbous plants in their natural habitat. That is the best way to learn how to grow the plants here, or to find out why growing them does not work.
