the from South Africa originating genus Strumaria contains summer-growers as well as winter-growers. The best known species in cultivation is S. truncata. On the picture a flowering plant of a Strumaria species, most probably S. truncata. Strumaria truncata is high ranked in my top 10 of most beautiful specialty bulbs.
