Polyxena pauciflora
Hyacinthaceae
December
when you first see a P. pauciflora the first name you think of will not be a Polyxena species. This species differs from the other Polyxena species which form to leaves which grow on the surface of the soil and a inflorescence just above the surfca of the soil. P. pauciflora forms grass like leaves and the flowers stand on a 'long' flower stem. Polyxena corymbosa has its habitat to the Cape Peninsula.
