Yearly new tulip varieties are introduced. On the other hand varieties aren't grown anymore and disappear from the market. On this page several old tulips are shown. These tulips aren't grown anymore and you will find them only in boticanal gardens and have only a historical importance.

In the Hortus Bulborum in Limmen (near Alkmaar) 3,500 different tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other bulbous plants flower each spring.
