Brimeura amethystina
Hyacinthaceae
May
this plants flowers later than its relatives, like Scilla, Hyacint and Hyacinthoides. When looking at the flowers you see the resemblance with the ones of Hyacinthoides, only the flowers of Brimeura amethystina are smaller and have an other tone blue. I find the colour of the flowers special. Especially when the bulbs are planted closely together it's a beautiful sight when they are in full flower. It's a pitty the plants are rarely offered.
